19 September Martial Arts School Marketing - Weekend impact on 2 successful schoolsWeekend Results We just finished the Raynham Pride Day and we were the envy of all the other schools there. Which there were 4 others at a very small event. One of them was Mr. XXXX’s school (AB). We had our Race car, Kung Fu Panda, a Big Prize Wheel and a canopy tent with our logo on it. We have a full container of new prospects (63 total), gave away 6 birthday parties, a ton of free intros, some $50 off our 6 month prog and 2 months free on our 12 month prog and had more attention in one day than we have ever had. Our big prizes were Patriot's Starter Jackets that everyone wanted. I picked them up at an auction for $30 apiece. I bought 4 of them and still have one left to give away at our graduation. I love being part of Mr. Silva's team. He made it easy to be #1. Also, I need to send a shout out to my staff and student volunteers and parents. We had 6 parents in total who were there to help and a great demo team that was more than happy to be in the spot light. Thank you, Greg Mendes I wanted to share a graduation success story. Last night we held our 3rd quarter graduation. We placed 240+ belts on the mat for 2 ½ year olds all the way to adults, for our Karate and BJJ program. We had 31 left at the end. The math says we had 88% show up. Is there a % I should have at a graduation? (I want everyone and try to get everyone but not sure what the industry average is…if there is one.) This was our largest graduation to date with over 400 people attending. We have a large ex-grocery store parking lot and it was full from one end to the other. It was awesome! Bluntly I was nervous and double checking and triple checking to make sure everything was in place, to make sure demos were ready, etc… Needless the say murphys law always gets us. We had some tech problems with the music but we put on a show, kept it emotional and at the end of graduation we had crying parents and laughing children. It was a blast. Mr. Silva, I have engrained in my head all those old UP vhs tapes of the coral springs school graduation and have tried to run my graduations like you. Thank you for all your influence and guidance. I have enclosed some pictures. Sincerely, Sensei Justin Garner Master Instructor A.M.A.I. Karate
