Hello,

So $20,000 a month from ASF is your goal – Easy,  that’s only 160 account’s paying $135.

That’s the hard part,  setting your goal and making up your mind to make it happen.

So why doesn’t everyone do it?  I was looking at some school accounts and noticed their Financial Graphs.  From what I see it’s not enrollments that is the problem, it’s a too high of a percentage of PIFs and a failure of the owner to maximize the opportunities to upgrade to build a strong receivable and increase their check --- it’s that simple.

This is the plan...

  1. What you want and how many additional accounts will it take.
  2. Set the time limit
  3. Include attrition – include expirations  3.5 a month
  4. New accounts required is 96
  5. $20,000
  6. Average payment $125
  7. At $8,000 now
  8. You need to increase 12,000
  9. To make the goal in 1 year you need to add 96 accounts plus the 41 you will lose.  That’s 137 accounts 11 additional contracts a month.  Because you will have more losses as the student body grows  I would stretch this to 13.   IMPORTANT thing -   if you cash out an upgrade or fail to convert new PIF students to payment accounts, it will be like a dog chasing it’s tail.  You aren’t going to catch the goal.
  10. Stick to basics and call if you don’t fully understand or if you are frustrated.
  11. Market to reach your goal.
  12. Accelerate the goal by getting a coach – call me 877-787-4542 ext 716.   Security is a wonderful thing.

Here´s a great idea for getting to know the "teachers" from Shayne Simpson.

Prepare a GIFT BAG for the teachers in you local school system.   In the gift bag you will include:

1. Small nice water bottle with your logo.

2. 25 pencils with your school logo and website. Hopefully they hand them to the students.

3. Black Belt Excellence sheet or the United Professionals Black Belt Excellence worksheet.

4. Over-achievers a copy of the Silva Solution

5. Make the bag look nice with some tissue paper

6. Click here to download the letter. Customize it with your information.

To distribute them,  here are two ideas.

1. Give a bag to each of your kids at the school and have them deliver them to the teachers.

2. Host a breakfast for the teachers and have a table of gift bags.

For the gift items contact Randy Spiegle at www.ballisticbranding.com  or shop the internet for promotional items.

Easy and fun - plus you educate the teachers on the great benefits of your school.

Income Generator Often Overlooked

I signed my 10 year old son up for the county recreation league tackle football today- he has never played before (White Belt). When they gave me the Parent Handbook (New Student Guide), it had a list of everything that my son would need for practice and games (Equipment Package). After going to my local "discount" sporting goods store, to pick up the items on the list, the total bill was $262.43. I picked my son up from school at 3:00pm today and have him the bag of "Necessities", we went to the karate school, because he has class today, and after class he put on the the entire package of football gear. I don't know who was more excited, him or me. As a parent I couldn't wait to go purchase all of the gear for him (Equipment Package), and I couldn't wait to see him in it and take a picture of him and text it to my family members. He wore it for about 4 hours, ran "plays" in the front yard with his sister and the neighborhood kids.

The next time you enroll a new student in your school, remember how excited this parent is inside and don't cheat them out of the feeling of joy and celebration with their child on beginning their new journey in your school.

SELL THEM A NEW STUDENT PACKAGE!!!

See You At The Top,

GREAT MARKETING TIP

I have learned that many school owners are nervous about how to ask for School Directories. Since phone numbers are so hard to get when buying a phone list. school directories are the best source for the Tele-Letter system. Here is how I get the Directories. I email this to all my clients.

Subject: Do you want a Free T-Shirt?

Body: We are working on a special project for our community and need to collect last years school directories to do this. So for the first directory from each school that is delivered to us, that person will get to choose any t-shirt we have in stock for free.

Thanks Shayne Simpson

Mr. Silva,

I should note that the conversation we had about two months ago had a profound affect on my business. Up until working with you and UP I had focused only on month to month agreements. When you explained to me that my business value was around $700 in terms of outstanding contract value, I was dismayed. When you also shared that your own studio was in a similar state when you acquired it and that it was now at around $300K in outstanding contract value I was inspired.

I began working toward increasing that number some during that last part of May and set a goal to add an additional $10K to that number in June. We added another $26K plus to that category bringing the outstanding contract value to better than $34K which is exciting to move towards the stability that will provide for our programs over the long haul.

Now that I have been to the Vancouver UP training event at Doug Bertrand's school I have had my business vision expanded again. Some incredibly talented people were there sharing their knowledge and skill. I can't thank you enough for putting it together and an additional thanks is owed to the Bertrands for hosting the event.

Thanks for the education that you provide to me as my coach and as an example of running a successful martial arts school.

Best,

Hello Mr Silva,

I just wanted to take a few moments to let you know the great results we had after your visit to our school. In June we hit $37,100! We haven't hit that number, or anywhere near that number in months! Also, we had a total contract amount of $45,000 and had a total of 17 new contracts for the month, that is about double what we average. By implementing the VIP, envelope system, we have gotten more referrals then we have in a long time, and switching to a 6 month program vs our 12 month program, has made it so much easier to get more cash outs and more enrollments.

You and Jeannie taking the time to visit our school has motivated us more then you can ever know. We greatly appreciate everything you have done for us, and we truly know how much you really care for us. We have developed a great relationship with our Cornerman Doug, and are looking forward to finally meeting him tomorrow in Washington. So from the bottom of our heart, and on behalf of myself, Martin and Araceli, thank you so much for your visit to El Paso, you have made more of an impact in us then I can describe in this email.

Sincerely,
Christian Arias
