QUICK MARKETING TIP! |
| |
Public schools let out soon.
During the end of year most elementary schools have Career Days. These are days business people get to talk to classrooms about their careers.
Call all the elementary schools in your area and get on the guest list. During your presentation show the kids what you do with a mini ABC's Of Success presentation.
I have found the a great way to get information distributed even when the school system says no. |
|
DID YOU SAY FLAG? |
| |
Wow a marketing idea to get students and show your patriotism at the same time. Buy about 500-1000 or if you are one of those over achievers 2000 American flags. I found a great place at http://www.cvsflags.com/stick.cfm that you can get them in lots of 144 for only $28 that is an incredible .20 cents a piece.
Well how do 2000 flags help with your marketing? Well now you take 2000 of your Ad cards, ones that have your summer program on one side and your 2 week trial offer on the other side. Punch two holes down one side, feed the stick on the flag through the holes and you and your team go out the night before “Memorial Day” and place them in the front yard of 2000 homes of your future students. Wow, now that is cost effective marketing. Just like with any marketing plan, it is only as easy as you want it to be. Remember any questions on this or any thing else please give us a call at United Professionals 877-787-4542 ext 713 Kelly Fiori

GREAT QUESTION |
| |
What do you do when your school begins to grow and students start asking and saying things like this; Class are getting pretty crowded, we are going to need more room, do you plan on expanding?
This is extremely common. It could happen when you have 6 students and grow to 10, or 100 and grow to 300. You will find these comments mostly from students who were there when the school was small because that is what they are used to.
When I moved to Florida from Connecticut I was used to teaching 70 kids per class in Connecticut. As my new school in Florida grew I had comments like this from parents when I had as little as 75 total students. I had to assure customers / students that I was completely prepared to handle large classes. In fact I would tell them of my excitement that the school was growing because classes had more energy, the kids were having more fun and there were more students to motivate and help the student body excel. I also constantly share my vision with students and parents especially during testing and graduation. They completely understand my mission to help as many people as possible benefit from martial arts training. They understand my commitment to improving our community through the values and life skills taught at our school. They know I want to make a big impact. They also thoroughly understand my dedication to quality students and personal attention.
I am also ready at any time to make adjustments in my schedule to make sure certain classes do not get over crowded. I also break down my graduation to several small graduations to give the school a smaller more intimate feeling even though we are growing.
So after all that, it’s sharing your vision and making sure you maximize time, schedule and floor space.

NEW ENGLAND OPEN |
| |
This past weekend in Warwick Rhode Island was the first official event for the Premier Martial Arts National Sport Karate Team. The team consists of Jackson Rudolph, (10 years old), Kyle Montagna (15 years old), and Ricky Morris (11 years old). The boys looked great in their Premier uniforms and did an awesome job in their respective divisions. Jackson and Ricky are taking it to their division cleaning up in all areas going 1st and 2nd. Kyle is also doing well placing in the top four. Kyle has a lot of adversity to overcome besides age and experience working against him he is also battling politics to a much larger degree in his divisions. But Kyle has continued to do well and place among the top despite being the underdog. I have no doubt in my mind that Kyle will continue to be a top contender and the guy to beat as the year progresses.
Our next official event will be the New England Open in Marlborough, Mass. May 30-31. Kyle, Ricky will also be going to the Quebec Open in a few weeks where I know they will once again represent Premier well. I have posted some videos from this past weekend of the boys competing. All of the boys have expressed their sincerest gratitude in you giving them the chance to represent such an amazing company while doing what they love and competing as and among the countries best Martial Artists.

We are gearing up for the 2008 UP Super Event
This year's event is a
certified Curriculum College. We just completed the 2008 Performance
College in Mesa last week. I thought a Curriculum College theme would most
benefit all schools financially.
When your staff and leadership members learn new exciting ideas, concepts,
drills, forms and moves, that energy and enthusiasm goes right back to your
school and to your students. SUMMER is the most important time of year
for a Super Charge Boost. Summer is all about retention, we also have
concerns about student motivation, renewals and upgrades. What better way
to instill a natural peak of excitement than learning and adding something
new? We are giving you an incredible opportunity to create team spirit,
add to your customer service and a way to massively upgrade students at the
same time.
United Professionals has built a program that has classes for everyone, MMA,
extreme martial arts, self-protection, weapons defense, sport karate
fighting, Kickboxing, BJJ and more.
For starters meet and train with Felice Herrig. She is a 2005 and 2006 IKF
North American Tournament Champion. She is also a 2006 and 2007 W.A.K.O.
U.S. Tournament Champion, but is no stranger to the TV cameras. In 2007
Felice appeared on the Oxygen Channel's reality tv show 'Fight Girls' where
she earned a trip to Thailand to take on a champion Thai fighter and won.
Currently Felice holds a spot on the St. Louis Enforcers team in Chuck
Norris' World Combat League.
Check out her Thai fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmQo67ePRUw
Okay if having your team train with Felice won't bring enough excitement
wait until your students and instructors sharpen their forms skills with
Matt Mullins Check out this video and share it with your team

Remember the concept of the Super Event is to attend with your staff,
leadership members as well as your students. Imagine everyone going back
and saying we trained with Matt Mullins from the America's Got Talent TV

field. He is well known for his great moves on the mat, and his leadership
qualities off the mat. He has been to many competions all over the world,

and he has also worked with local law enforcement agencies, most recently
with the defensive tactics instructors at the State Highway Patrol Training
Academy in Raleigh. Jeff brings his unique synthesis of formal martial arts
training and real world experience.

| New Ad Campaign - Marketing Product Sale |
|
| |
United Professionals is introducing a new marketing campaign every two
months. Our first is "Martial Arts Can Change Your Childs Life". It is
recommended you are consistent with your campaigns. Meaning the ad you run,
your ad cards, door hangers etc., all have a common theme. Our goal and yours
is to educate your community on the impact martial arts can have on their
families. These new AD Cards are great because the front is the ad and
the back further explains the benefits of training at your school. The
look is a little more hardcore however the image is still happy and young.
If you order products on the UP web site before May 15th type UPSALE in the
coupon and save 20% off your order. This is good for any type marketing
product.
Check your inventory, you should always have mailers, VIP Cards, Ad Cards,
Business Cards and this time of year a good stock of Door Hangers to keep
your teens busy all summer.
COMING SOON SAVE $$$$ on direct mail
United Professionals will be starting a direct mail service. We have

The Instructor College in Arizona was amazing!!!
Your students are incredible. I've never seen the student protocol run that
well, in fact this whole week ive been taking my students outside and re-educating them on what they should be doing when they come in. I love
teaching, students, instructors whoever, it's my passion. Lately I've been
doing more business things helping my friends and new UP clients get up to
speed on the biz systems, so that's been fun too.
UP is my passion, and I know I get carried away a lot in letting people know
how fortunate they are. I just want them all to know how lucky they are to
be a part of it, and never get to where they expect UP to do things for them,
but be grateful for what they do already. Too many people think they should
be held by the hand and wait for people to ask them if they need help. I
like knowing that if I have a question I can just ask! I am always grateful
for the help you, Mr. Van Over and the other UP members have done.
Thanks again,
Aaron Reis

Hey Mr. Silva,
Just wanted to let all the other U.P. clients if they don’t have special guests come to their school, they’re missing out! Friday was our schools Black Belt Extravaganza…we rented out a local college theater. It holds 500 in the seats that are stadium style. We sold out the entire theater…We played that inspirational video in the beginning and it really set the pace of the event. In the back stage were our students who were coming on and off stage for demos. In the back stage area, no parents were allowed, so we had to be creative with things to do with the kids for 2 hours. So we hired a clown/magician, we had arts and crafts, we had a TV with cartoons and a TV that was playing the show on stage through a video camera. The event was a huge success!
But one of the highlights were the demos with our special guest Danny Ball who came in from the U.K. Danny was unbelievable… I had him in 3 different parts of the show and he just jumped right in! He signed autographs afterwards and the kids got a chance to meet a true international martial arts super star. It gave a different depth to our school since we pushed he was part of our own organization “Black Belt School International”. Plus we also had the President of BBSI U.K. Mr. Stewart Wilkes to a presentation to us. Parents were really impressed. The following Monday Danny did seminars at my school and they were awesome! His XMA forms seminar was most impressive, because he set the seminar up for school owners to continue the movements for future demos for their students. He left music behind as well. I have had many guests in my school over the years, but Danny is a true professional and understands the needs of the school owner. I highly recommend any school owner who has not had him in to call him. Feel free to call me as a reference or if anyone needs any ideas for their extravaganza ideas.
Yours in the arts,
Mike Donohue
