Retention

Here's a lesson in retention from my good friend Shihan Craig Haley. It's no wonder that his attrition rate is less that 2%. (This means he loses very few students on a monthly basis) Retaining students is simply a matter of letting them know you care. I'm not even a paying student yet he took the time to go out and buy me a card and then hand write a nice note. How do you think that made me feel? Well, it made me feel good enough to tell all of you about it! Shihan Haley has indeed retained me as a friend for at least another month or two. Haha! Thank you Shihan. I'm looking forward to many more years of training with you as well as continuing to nurture our friendship that began nearly 30 years ago when you still had hair and I had fewer wrinkles. -Bill Storm
